What this site collects, which is very little, and what happens to it. Written to be read rather than to be survived.
Who this is about
WebsLead is a web and digital systems agency operating from Sydney, New South Wales. Its registered details are [REGISTERED ENTITY NAME AND ABN REQUIRED].
This policy covers this website. It does not cover the separate agreement that governs a build — if you are a client, the terms you signed say what happens to your business data during a project, and they take precedence over this page.
What this site collects
One thing: what you type into the enquiry form and send us. Nothing on this site collects anything about you in the background.
- Your name, business name, email address and — if you choose to give it — a phone number.
- Which of our services you ticked, and whatever you wrote in the box describing what is going wrong.
- If you arrived from the estimate tool, the answers you gave it: the tier, whether you sell online, the catalogue size, and the options you picked. These travel in the page address and are shown back to you on the contact page before you send anything.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
The estimate tool and the contact form keep their working state in your own browser while you use them. That never leaves your device and we cannot read it.
If an analytics tool is added later, this section will name it and say what it records before it is switched on.
Why we collect it
To reply to your enquiry, and to write you a scope and a price. That is the whole purpose.
- We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with anyone for their own purposes.
- We do not add you to a mailing list. There is no newsletter.
- We do not build a profile of you, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who else holds it
An enquiry reaches us as an email, so it sits with our email provider, and with whoever hosts this website. Both are ordinary service providers rather than parties we share your details with by choice.

How long it is kept
If the enquiry does not become a project, we keep it while it is still plausibly live and delete it after that. If it does become a project, it becomes part of the project record and is kept for as long as we are required to keep business records.
You can ask us to delete it sooner, and we will, unless there is a legal reason to keep it.
If you become a client
During a build we are usually given access to accounts that hold your business data — a hosting account, an analytics property, a store admin, sometimes a customer list. We use that access to do the work and for nothing else.
At handover, every account is in your name, and our access ends when you remove it. If we hold a copy of anything — a content export, a database backup taken during the build — you can ask us to destroy it and we will confirm when it is done.
What you can ask for
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email is the fastest route and there is no form to fill in.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle that, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Changes to this policy
If this changes, the date at the top changes with it. We will not quietly broaden what we collect and leave the date alone.
